Independents from across the on and off-trades will be heading to London today for the Specialist Importer Trade Tasting (SITT) where they will have the chance to meet close to 60 exhibitors at the Royal Horticulture Halls between 10:30 am and 6 pm.
SITT Autumn consists of specialist importers, independent buyers, boutique wineries and agencies all focusing on the independent on and off-trade sectors.
In addition to the nearly 60 exhibitors visitors will also have the opportunity to attend three masterclasses which are being held throughout the day.
Peter McCombie MW will host the first Masterclass at 11am called: Exploring Albariño. The class will focus on exploring the Rías Baixas region and help understand the growing popularity of its Albarino wines.
The second class, to be held at 2pm will also be hosted by McCombie, and will focus on exploring Italy's high quality reds, with a special emphasis on icon wines from the classic Italian wine regions.
The final masterclass will be lead by Mark Andrew, senior buyer for Roberson Wines and will be an exploration of the different crus from the Rhone Valley.
