Chilean wine brand Casillero del Diablo is to be the official wine partner of Meatopia - the festival of BBQ and smoking, set to take place in London at Tobacco Dock on Saturday 7 September.
The Concha y Toro brand has an exclusive contract with Meatopia to be the sole provider of wines to visitors. The brand will also use the event to highlight its activity around its up-coming Wine Legend movie launch. All Casillero del Diablo wines will be paired with a selection of dishes created by the likes of Tom Adams from Pitt Cue and Fergus Henderson from St John.
The brand will also sponsor 'The Cutting Room,' a live-action stage hosting demos and interviews with chefs throughout the day.
Concha y Toro commercial manager, Rachel Herrig, said: "We're excited to be involved in the first year of what is set to become a serious fixture in the London calendar. A perfect brand fit for Casillero del Diablo, Meatopia will give us access to a high footfall of food and wine-engaged consumers who are interested in learning more about what they eat and drink. We expect the event to drive brand awareness and really underline its food matching credentials."
Described as a 'meat lover's paradise' (New York Magazine), Meatopia is a celebration of barbecuing, smoking and grilling and it was created by food writer Josh Ozersky in New York in 2003.
