Liberty Wines moved into its new £5-million London premises that boasts an extended warehouse and tasting rooms.
The new development in Clapham High Street in south west London consists of a 2,800sq m, purpose-built office and an 1,000sq m warehouse facility (a 50% increase in size) which is temperature-controlled at 12?C throughout and is designed for optimal logistical efficiency.
The open-plan office includes multiple tasting rooms for tastings and events that aim to provide a flexible working environment for Liberty's expanding team.
Managing director David Gleave MW said: "The project has cost us £5 million, a major undertaking at any time. Liberty has had an excellent year and we remain optimistic about the future, despite all the talk of doom and gloom. Our new site enables us to improve both the service we offer to our customers and the working environment for our employees."
Italian wine specialist David Gleave MW founded Liberty Wines in 1997 with a staff of just four. It now has over 80 staff and a portfolio of more than 900 wines that are sold into the on-trade, independent off-trade and the high street.
