Matthew Dickinson leaves Thierry's

Thierry's marketing director Matthew Dickinson has left the company.

Thierry's marketing director Matthew Dickinson has left the company.

Dickinson still owns, and will continue to own, a 25% stake in the company. When Thierry's acquired Edward Cavendish and sons in 2006, KWV acquired a 20% share of Thierry's as part of the deal.  Thierry's then bought this share back about a year later.

Dickinson, who joined the firm in 2001, recently switched from commercial to marketing director. His departure takes place with immediate effect. There are no short terms plans to replace him and the majority of his duties will be picked up by the firm's marketing manager Becky Nichols.

Hatim Dungarwalla, managing director at Thierry's Wine Services, said: "Matt joined Thierry's over ten years ago and we thank him for his input into the business. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours."

Thierry's is best-known for developing French wine brands, but also works with  producers in Italy, Spain, South Africa, Argentina and Chile. It has more recently added India, Turkey, Croatia and Moldova to its portfolio, and is keen to build its export business.
