Drake & Morgan is hoping to capitalise on the US trend for beer cocktails with a new summer menu.

The innovation has caught on in the States, according to the bar group, which will be replicating two beer cocktails on the list of all five of its London bars.

The new recipes have "maximum appeal to those looking for a twist on the classics, minus the beer belly," according to a spokesman.

Priced from £5.95, the selection includes One for the Road - a mix of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Tanqueray gin, cranberry bitters, fresh lemon and Greek basil leaves.

Dark & Pour Me uses Beck's Vier as its base with the addition of Kraken spiced rum, spicy ginger syrup, fresh lime juice and angostura bitters.

Drake & Morgan's estate includes The Refinery on Bankside; The Parlour in Canary Wharf; The Anthologist and The Folly in the City; and The Drift on Bishopsgate.
