BANROCK DRAUGHTED

Published:  23 July, 2008

Constellation Wines, the combined Grants of St James's Wines and BRL Hardy branded wine business, has launched Banrock Station as a draught wine for pubs and the wine-by-the-glass sector. Banrock Colombard/ Chardonnay and Shiraz/ Mataro in ten-litre pouches with a chrome-plated dispensing font are currently on trial with Carlsberg-Tetley. The company has also generated point-of-sale material - A3 poster, tent cards, coasters, back bar display card and a bar runner - to promote trial. Ian Minichiello, the on-trade sales director at Constellation Wines, which includes Stowells of Chelsea, the clear number one on-trade wine brand, said: There is a huge opportunity to increase sales of wine-by-the-glass in the on-trade. Draught wines offer ease and convenience for large pubs at busy times and this initiative will help licensees to drive wine sales.' Interested licensees should call 01372 473000.
