Restaurant Sat Bains awarded second Michelin star

Nottinghamshire's only Michelin star restaurant, Restaurant Sat Bains with Rooms, has been awarded a second Michelin star.

Sat Bains opened Restaurant Sat Bains with his wife Amanda in 2002.

The following year they won the county's only Michelin star and in less that a decade have gone on to achieve numerous national and international awards.

The cuisine is based on a philosophy of taste, texture and temperature and offers diners a choice of seven or 10 course tasting menus showcasing the very best of regional British ingredients.

Baines said, " Amanda and I are absolutely delighted to have been recognised by Michelin and receive this second star.

"We have a great team here and each and every one has been part of this achievement- there will be quite a party at the restaurant today.
