Kingsland Drinks Group has appointed Denis O’Flynn, previously MD at Pernod Ricard UK and chairman of the WSTA, as a non-executive director of its board.
With over 35 years in the alcoholic drinks industry, O’Flynn’s experience includes 13 years on the executive board of Irish Distillers, five years as MD of Pernod Ricard UK and four years as chairman of the WSTA.
Kingsland said it had appointed O’Flynn to assist in its growth and development following a series of significant investment project, which it said had “reinforced our position” as a full-service drinks business.
“We are really pleased that Denis has now come on board formally after already working with us on a couple of major projects,” said Andy Sagar, executive chairman of Kingsland Drinks.
“His broad experience in the drinks trade will be a valuable asset to the team, especially as we continue to diversify our capability and offering,” he said.
O’Flynn added: “I am delighted to be joining Kingsland Drinks as a non-executive director at this exciting time for the business. I look forward to contributing to the company’s growth and development over the coming years.”
In August last year, Kingsland Drinks diversified its position in the industry with the launch of Ten Locks – a sister company dedicated to the creation and curation of “premium brands with purpose”.
The business has also bolstered its infrastructure significantly in the last 12 months, most recently increasing its capacity for packing bag-in-box wines and investing in a new canning line in 2020.
