The National Wine Agency of Georgia has announced an expanded promotional campaign for the UK market in 2019.
It took the decision to boost its UK activities because it considers the UK to be a “globally influential and strategically important market”, with exports to the UK having grown by “30% in the year to 2018”.
Over 2019 Georgian wines will be supported by a programme of events that will include a 'national pavilion' at the London Wine Fair, a series of trade tastings through the UK, a Georgian wine festival, press and trade trips to Georgia and ongoing digital content, promotional and social media activity.
The program will be led by Sarah Abbott MW, of Swirl and Market, and Madeleine Waters of CoCo PR. The two have worked with Georgian wine since 2017.
