Rathfinny Wine Estates has appointed Jebsen Fine Wines as its exclusive distributor in Hong Kong.
The appointment comes as the English producer gears up to launch its first Sussex sparkling wines - a Blanc de Blancs 2014 and Rosé Brut 2015, out there in September this year.
As one of the most “highly regarded” distributors in Hong kong, Rathfinny said it was excited to embark on the new venture.
“Jebsen, one of the most highly-regarded distributors in Hong Kong, is synonymous with its first-rate portfolio, exceptional knowledge of the market and, perhaps most importantly for us, its strong relationships within the trade,” said co-founder Mark Driver, adding with a bit of hard work, we believe we can create a loyal following for Rathfinny over there.
The move forms part of Rathfinny’s strategy to sell up to 50% of production to key export overseas markets within Asia, Europe and North America.
Jebsen MD Gavin Jones said: “For such a new English wine producer, Rathfinny has already gained an enviable reputation and profile within the UK has instilled a confidence and attention to detail which permeates every aspect of their brand, that we at Jebsen find both unique and admirable.”
Rathfinny’s first sparkling wines were launched in London on the 24th April this year and released officially 1st June.
In keeping with its strategy to focus entirely on the premium on-trade and independent sectors, Rathfinny’s first year UK volume has been fully-allocated to accounts such as the Savoy Hotel, Annabel’s, Harvey Nichols, Berry Brothers & Rudd and Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons.
