Jascots has appointed Miles Platt as its new head of sales.
Taking on his new role tomorrow (19th June) Platt, who joins from Majestic Commercial where he was head of the London on-trade sales team, takes over from Kent Barker.
Platt would play a vital role in helping Jascots to support its customers and grow the reputation of the wine producers represented by the wine merchant, said managing partner Miles MacInnes.
“Miles has earned a fantastic reputation amongst his clients and ours and his knowledge of the London and UK on-trade market is second to none,” he said, adding Platt shared Jascots’ commitment to “delivering the best wine and service in the industry”.
The appointment follows the return of Alastair Pyatt to Jascots as head of buying last week having left Jascots to join Bibendum PLB three years ago to look after its French portfolio.
The new appointments came at a “very exciting” time for Jascots, as the wine merchant geared up to introduce a host of new producers over the coming months, said MacInnes adding it had grown its portfolio by over 30% in the last two years.
Founded in 1991, Jascots has grown to claim a turnover of more than £9 million following a management buyout in 2016.
