Bibendum adds 113 new wines

Published:  05 March, 2018

Bibendum has added 113 new wines to its portfolio ahead of its annual spring tasting next week.

The wines have been sourced from 21 producers new to Bibendum from both the New and Old World, including Lacourte Godbillon, producer of top-quality Growers’ Champagne, Alsace biodynamic producer Marc Kreydenweiss, new-wave artisan Barossa producer Spinifex, and South Africa’s Benguela Cove.

Other new additions include Bibendum’s first wines from the Savoie region from Jean Perrier et Fils, and four new artisanal Italian producers that include La Dama in Valpolicella and Castello di Ama, a leading Chianti Classico producer.

The newcomers had been picked to bolster Bibendum’s offering in three key areas - Growers’ Champagne, Biodynamics and South Africa, said the Conviviality-owned business, adding they formed part of its dedication to support small producers with a “real passion for craft”.

“We’re delighted to be announcing the addition of such a diverse and exciting mix of new names this spring, from the prestigious, family-owned La Dama in Italy’s Valpolicella, to the unique and artisanal Strydom Vineyards in Stellenbosch,” said wine buying director, Andrew Shaw.

Taking place at Phonica Records, London on Monday 12th March, from 1pm – 6pm, 87 of the 113 new wines will be showcased at the event alongside a further 27 products including sake, whiskey and low-alcohol shim drinks.
