Hampshire producers prepare for annual tasting

A group of seven leading Hampshire producers are on their to way to London once again in February for their annual tasting.

The Vineyards of Hampshire will be celebrating the county’s contribution to the growing English Sparkling wine market, which grew by 16% last year worth £132 million, while one million new vines planted were planted across the UK in 2017 alone.

The group, which includes top names like Hambledon Vineyards and Hattingley Valley will be presenting alongside newest member Raimes English Sparkling, which will be making its first trade appearance at the event.

There will also be new products showcasing Jenkyn Place’s new re-branding, Hattingley Valley’s limited edition traditional method sparkling red pinot noir, Raimes English Sparkling’s vintage ‘2014 Classic’, newly released vintages of Danebury’s still whites, and Exton Park Vineyard’s first Magnums of their Brut Reserve NV, among others.

Hampshire is the third largest wine-producing county after Sussex and Kent, and is also home to Cottonworth Vineyard, which will also feature at the tasting.
