UKs first Cognac Show launched by Whisky Exchange
The UK’s first ever Cognac Show tasting will take place next April 2018, Harpers can reveal.
The Whisky Exchange’s new two-day Cognac extravaganza will feature more than 150 Cognacs, tastings, cocktails and food pairings. The two-day event billed as the ‘Cognac Show’ will showcase production from large houses and small producers.
The creation of the show comes amid a 3.6% rise in Cognac exports to Britain in UK, where Cognac has been revived by interest from the bartenders and the on-trade.
The announcement of the 'Cognac Show' comes with the The Whisky Exchange’s release of its first ever Cognac bottling a single-vintage single cask bottling from Cognac house, Frapin.
“We’re really excited to launch this event and are looking forward to building awareness of this category, which we feel has huge potential for growth,” said Andrew Milne, Head of Events at The Whisky Exchange.
The ‘Cognac Show’ takes place at Bloomsbury House in London next April 27th and April 28th.
