Former Dunelm CFO joins Majestic board
Majestic Wine has appointed former Dunelm head of finance, David Stead, to its board as an independent non-executive director.
Stead, currently a non-executive director of Card Factory and Joules Group, takes on his new role on 1 November 2017.
Prior to his retirement in 2015, Stead was chief financial officer of Dunelm Group plc - a role he held had held since September 2003.
Stead, who’s career in the finance world also includes a stint as finance director for Boots, would bring “significant” retail and financial expertise to the board, said chairman, Greg Hodder.
“I am confident his background and experience will fit well with our existing directors’ skills and support the group as we transform into a growth company,” he said.
Upon his appointment Stead will be a member of the Majestic’s audit, nomination and remuneration committees.
