The International Bulk Wine and Spirits Show (IBWSS) has unveiled the speaker programme for its first London event next year.
The goal of the event is to give participants a macro view of key trends and strategies, as well as provide some granular advice on day-to-day tactics to succeed in the marketplace, with speakers appointed to give unique insights and analysis on the UK bulk wine and private label market.
Florian Ceschi, director of Ciatti Europe, will go over some of the key findings and statistics in his company’s Global Bulk Market Report, in an effort to help identify new opportunities for producers and negociants.
Clem Yates, MW - sourcing and supply director at Off-Piste Wines, will analyse how importers and distributors can create a private label and bulk strategy that minimises channel conflict.
David Richardson, regulatory and commercial affairs director at the Wine and Spirit Trade Association will review the varying regulatory issues facing importers of bulk products.
IBWSS London will also drill down on specialised topics with the help of experts. For example, Barry Dick, MW and The Wine Superhero will provide relevant data and insights on the comparative benefits of Flexitanks vs. ISO tanks as a bulk shipping method, while Mark Lansley, CEO of Broadland Wineries, will focus on how the bulk wine and private label market can drive both top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability.
In addition, the event will feature two panel discussions, with Harpers editor Andrew Catchpole lead a panel discussion on how retailers can build a profitable label program on the first day.
Day 2 will see Journalist Richard Siddle moderate a panel discussion on the bulk wine and private label industry featuring Robin Copestick, managing director at Copestick Murray and Mark Roberts, head of sales at Lancaster Wines.
Other speakers confirmed for the event include Clive Donaldson, wine sourcing manager at Morrisons; Neil Anderson, managing director, Kingsland Drinks; Paul Braydon, buying controller, Kingsland Drink and Andrew Shaw, group wine buying director, Conviviality.
With Harpers as its media partner, the show is making it’s London debut on 26 to 27 February, 2018 at The Royal Horticultural Halls.
