Broadland launches new Australian range to the UK off-trade

The range, made by Project Wines, is from the lesser known region of Langhorne Creek.

According to Broadland, the Langhorne Creek Wine Association recently reported an increase of 53% in volume and 50% in value of exports to the UK over the last year (MAT to March 2017) making the UK the region’s third export country.

The range is called Birds Eye View and will be aimed at the UK’s retail sector.

The RRP is £8 for a Sauvignon Semillon, Cabernet Sauvignon Sangiovese and Shiraz Viognier all from the 2016 vintage, with a Chardonnay to be added later in the year. 

“Langhorne Creek is a hidden gem, producing very high quality fruit,” Arabella Woodrow, MW at Broadland said.

“Project Wine has significant expertise in the region meaning they can offer excellent value for money compared with equivalent wines from some of the better-known regions throughout Australia.”

All the wines are made by senior winemaker at Project Wine, Peter Pollard, who moved with the company when it was formed out of the Langhorne Creek Winery in 2001.
