Halewood Wines & Spirits is hoping to shake up the premium mixer category with a range of flavoured tonic waters.
Pitched as a "unique alternative" to other premium tonics, the Lamb & Watt portfolio is being rolled out now across the on-trade in 200ml glass bottle format in four variants - Original, Cucumber, Basil and Hibiscus.
Made with natural and organic ingredients, including Halewoods’ own Willow Mineral Water from the Lake District, Quinine from the Cinchona tree and organic blue agave from Mexico, the drinks are low in calories and contain no artificial colours, sweeteners or preservatives.
The quartet, which is suitable for use with both white and dark spirits, marks Halewood's first foray into the premium tonics category.
The reinvigorated portfolio, the Lamb & Watt brand was first born back in 1847, would tap an increasing thirst for high quality mixers to compliment their premium spirit choices, said brand manager Leanne Ware, adding the launch formed part of Halewood’s new "premium spirits positioning".
“Lamb & Watt complements our own expanding premium spirits offering and is set to make a mark on the premium tonic category, offering bartenders a refreshing point of difference to enhance enjoyment of a variety of premium spirits as well as offering an alternative to a non-alcoholic tipple, she said.
Halewood is supporting the launch with PR, social media and OOH activity alongside trade and consumer events for sampling and brand awareness.
