Hospitality group The New World Trading Company (NWTC) has settled into its new home on King Street, Knutsford following the sale to private equity firm Graphite Capital last year.

Hospitality group The New World Trading Company (NWTC) has settled into its new home on King Street, Knutsford following the sale to private equity firm Graphite Capital last year.

Now an independent business, NWTC head office will remain in Knutsford but will be moved to a separate site.

Formerlery part of Living Venutres, the pub and restaurant business, which grew up under the watchful eye of founders Jeremy Roberts and the late Tim Bacon, was sold to private equity firm Graphite Capital in June for £50m.

At the time, the company operated 14 pubs and restaurants under five sub-brands - the Botanist, the Oast House, Smugglers Cove, the Trading House and the Club House.

The group now operates 16 pubs nationally under the same sub-brands, with plans to open new venues in York, Didsbury and Reading over the next six months.

Chief executive Chris Hill said: "As our business develops so does our reputation across both the North and South of England. No matter where the head office is based it's hugely important that as we grow at a steady pace across the country we continue to stay agile and have a presence across all of our sites. We take great pride in all of our pubs being part of the local community and we want to make sure that our head office team do what they can to support this."
