Viognier from Victoria

Published:  18 January, 2007

This spring will see the UK launch of a Viognier from Tahbilk estate, Victoria, Australia.

Chileno Gold has been repackaged and re-branded by PLB and Via Ventisquero to become Chileno Gold Reserva. The new-look brand comprises three varietals - a Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenre - and is currently available at Somerfield priced 5.99.

The redesigned labels carry the signature of Via Ventisquero winemaker Felipe T Bruna. PLB's Claire Summersby said: 'We wanted to give the range a more sophisticated look to encourage entry-level Chilean wine drinkers to trade up to the Gold Reserva.'
