July 12 sees the launch of Harpers' new independent merchants initiative Think Indie, Drink Indie, along with our 50 Best Indies Awards.
Against the backdrop of a dynamic indie merchant scene, collectively offering the most diverse and exciting range of wines, beers and spirits that the UK has ever seen, we are introducing our new Think Indie, Drink Indie focus at a day-long symposium on July 12 and very much hope to see you there.
Open to all independent merchants, this will be a lively, informative yet relaxed event, designed around your businesses needs and interests.
To whet the appetite, there will be a mix of tailored masterclasses, topical debates, key trade figures, focused tastings and the chance to meet with like-minded colleagues and rivals over the course of the day.
The panel-led debates topping and tailing the symposium will respectively address Building your Business and Selling your Independence, allowing attendees to take away some real value and insight drawn from some of the best in the business.
We are also currently cooking up the content for our Masterclasses, which will focus on specific drink categories, led by a business-focused expert on each area, delivering much more than the usual sniff, swirl and spit format.
The UK's 50 Best Indies
With our 100-strong country-wide judging academy poised to return their votes soon, Think Indie, Drink Indie will also be the launch pad for Harpers' new 50 Best Indies Awards, designed to recognise and honour those independent merchants that have done the most to drive forward quality and innovation in the retail of wines, beers and spirits.
The results of the 50 Best Indies will be announced towards the end of the day at the symposium.
