ITV is to air an exclusive new series exploring the world of wine, to be hosted by actors Matthew Goode and Matthew Rhys.
Across its thirteen, hour-long episodes The Wine Show will travel to twelve different countries on six continents.
Wine experts Joe Fattorini and Amelia Singer will be guiding Goode and Rhys on their journey, joined by Gizzi Erskine as food expert in the US.
During the series, twelve leading chefs will be challenged to cook a perfect meal to accompany their favourite wine, discussing the complexities of food-and-wine pairing in the process.
The chefs are Atul Kochhar, Michael Caines, Jose Pizarro, Peter Gordon, Francesco Mazzei, Brad McDonald, Clare Smyth, Dan Doherty, Elena Arzak, Niki Nakayama, Frances Atkins and Stephen Harris.
Viewers will be able to buy many of the wines featured on the show through a partnership with Amazon.
Singer said: "I feel extremely excited and privileged to be part of a production that is creating authentic, stimulating and entertaining television.
"The Wine Show revolutionises the way wines can be discovered and enjoyed - for people of all ages and all stages of wine knowledge."
Fattorini added: "Being part of The Wine Show is a dream come true. Wine is about so much more than what's in your glass. It's about the people who make it and the beautiful places it's grown.
"It's magical to meet passionate winemakers and grape growers and visit places you normally only read about in books or magazine articles."
Russ Lindsay, founder and director of Infinity Creative Media, the company behind The Wine Show, said: "Wine has now transcended culture, class and background and is a part of the lives of millions.
"The Wine Show is a cultural journey across the world, which is informative, visually entertaining, humorous, engaging and surprising. We are thrilled that ITV have given us the most wonderful home for our series in the UK."
The series will air on both ITV and ITV4 in the spring.
