The Fladgate Partnership has released a new 50cl bottle for its Croft Pink Rosé Port designed to appeal to both the on- and off-trade.
The contemporary square-shouldered design showcases the Port's distinctive cherry colour while retaining premium appeal.
Croft Pink was launched in 2008 as both a drink to enjoy on its own chilled or on the rocks and as a base ingredient for punches and cocktails.
It is positioned to expand the market for Port beyond its traditional seasonal profile and to create a range of new consumer occasions for Port consumption.
The brand website carries a wide range of suggested Croft Pink cocktail serves, blending the fortified rosé with Champagne, gin, vodka, tequila, aperol and cachaça, among other ingredients.
Aimed at catching the eye both on the back bar and at point-of-sale in retail, the new size will be rolled out in the UK over the next few months.
The 50cl bottle will carry an rrp of £10.
Both the 50cl and 75cl are available through UK agents, Mentzendorff & Co.
The Fladgate Partnership will be exhibiting Croft Pink at the Big Fortified Tasting on April 22 at Church House in Westminster, London and then again at the London Wine Fair on May 3 to 5 at the Kensington Olympia.
