Strong Fever-Tree results consolidate market position

Published:  27 July, 2015

Fever-Tree, the UK-based manufacturer of premium mixers, has revealed strong growth for the first half of 2015. Its results for the six months to 30 June showed revenue of £24.1m - up 62% on the same period for the previous year.

The impressive performance consolidates a successful 2014, which saw the company's AIM November listing raise £93.3m, giving it a value of £154m. It now has a market capitalisation of £398m, according to analysts Investec.

Fever-Tree was launched in the UK in 2005. It now operates in 50 territories worldwide with some 70% of its sales now outside the UK.

The UK remains the company's primary market, where it achieved sales growth of 62% in the first six months of 2015, a performance more than matched by the US, where sales rose by 69% in the same period.

Fever-Tree claims it commands some 50% of the premium mixer market. The company believes its premiumisation strategy offers considerable opportunity for further growth in both the on- and off-trade.

Tim Warrillow, chief executive of Fever-Tree, commented: "We are encouraged by our performance in the first half of the year and the board remains positive about the outlook for 2015."
