New date set for Harpers Awards 2015

The date and venue for this year's Harpers Awards has moved to Tuesday 29 September.

The glittering event looks set to be the biggest and best yet as we recognise the leading lights across the on- and off-trade. Now in its fourth year, the awards celebrate the hard work and achievements of the individuals who make up the wine and spirits industry, ranging from bars, restaurants, sommeliers, multiple grocers, specialist drinks websites, independent wine merchants, suppliers to brand owners.

The awards are split in three main areas: the At Your Service awards covering the on-trade; Top Merchant awards for independent wine merchants; and overall Industry Awards covering national drinks distributors, multiple and specialist and online retailers.

A Special Achievement award is also given to the individual who we think has done the most to represent the UK wine and spirits industry in the past 12 months.

Last year's awards was attended by more than 250 key industry figures, with big name winners including Morrisons, Naked Wines, Bibendum, Corks Out, Vinoteca and the Chiltern Fire House.

This year's shortlist sees a line-up of some of brightest talent - both well-established and emerging - from across the UK drinks industry, which reflects the diversity of the modern drinks industry.

Shortlisted candidates include independents and wholesalers Bottle Apostle, Le Vignoble, Borough Wines, Corks Out, The Oxford Wine Company, suppliers Hatch Mansfield , Bancroft Wines and Les Caves de Pyrène, multiples Aldi, The Coop and Waitrose, specialists Laithwaites, Oddbins and Naked Wines, distributors Bibendum PLB, Liberty Wines, Matthew Clark, and a host of pubs, restaurants and suppliers to the on-trade.
