Glenmorangie offers holidaymakers special golf trips and prizes

Following on from its high profile sponsorship this month of the Open golf championships in Hoylake, Glenmorangie is now embarking on a series of consumer events targeting UK airports throughout the summer.

Following on from its high profile sponsorship this month of the Open golf championships in Hoylake, Glenmorangie is now embarking on a series of consumer events targeting UK airports throughout the summer.

Holidaymakers travelling through Liverpool, Manchester and London Heathrow will get the chance to take part in special whisky tastings and win unique golf experiences as part of its ongoing link up with the Open.

Travellers will also be able to vote for their favourite 'Unnecessarily Well Made' golf hole and be in the running to win a special VIP trip next year's Open championships at St Andrews in Scotland. Glenmorangie's global golf ambassadors Tony Jacklin and Sir Nick Faldo, along with golf photographer David Cannon will choose the final winning 18 golf holes at the end of the summer.

They will be invited to actually take part and play parts of this year's Open course at Royal Liverpool golf course in Hoylake through a special state-of-the-art golf simulator. It is currently situated at Manchester Airport until August 15.

Those who manage to land their virtual golf ball within 10 feet of the hole will win a set of limited edition Titleist Glenmorangie golf balls. Anyone getting a hole-in-one will win a bottle of Glenmorangie Signet.

Those travelling through Liverpool Airport and Heathrow Terminals 3 and 5 will be able to take part in private tutored whisky tastings featuring Glenmorangie Original,   Glenmorangie Extra Matured La Santa, Glenmorangie Extra Matured Quinta Ruban,  Glenmorangie Extra Matured Nectar D'Or, Glenmorangie 18 Year Old,  Glenmorangie Signet.
