Harpers Design Awards relaunches as global competition

Published:  04 July, 2014

The Harpers Design Awards are being relaunched for 2014 as a global competition, inviting entries for wines, spirits, beers, ciders and soft drinks from anywhere in the world - providing they are already on sale in the market.

With the drinks market becoming increasingly international it was felt our design awards should reflect the quality and competition of work taking place around the world.

The new Harpers Global Design Awards are now open for entry and include a number of new categories to reflect the challenges design agencies and drinks companies now face when bringing new products to market. We have introduced new price-based categories for our wine categories to reflect the budgets and demands on new products aimed at the volume and value end of the market.

We are also asking entrants to specify which channel of the trade the new product is aimed at be it on-trade, multiple/specialist off-trade, independent off-trade and duty free.

The competition is open to any company involved in the creation, development and design of new brands and products for any of these channels.

The only strict criteria is that any entry must already be on sale and not still at the development stage.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards will be presented in each category with no limit on the number of awards that can be handed out.
