As parts of the UK brace themselves for the start of the gruelling Tour de France cycle race that starts in Yorkshire on July 5, Champagne de Castelnau has introduced this very appropriate limited edition Champagne.
The bottle comes with a complete full bottle yellow design in keeping with the yellow jersey traditionally worn by the overall race leader that is presented after every stage of the race.
This year the race is celebrating its 101st year by starting proceedings in the UK with three days of racing that will take the riders through the hills and dales of Yorkshire, down through Cambridge and ending up on the streets of London on July 7.
Thousands are expected to line the streets as the race weaves it way down the country. The three UK stages take in Leeds to Harrogate on July 5, York to Sheffield on July 6 and Cambridge to London on July 7. It is the first time the race has come to the UK since 2007.
Champagne de Castelnau is the official Champagne of the ASO, organisers of the race, and will see its special Champagne poured in all VIP areas throughout the race.
Castelnau Wine Agencies, the UK importers of Champagne De Castelnau, is working with Spirited Wines to stock the limited edition Tour de France Champagne and it is in now in store priced at £29.99.
