A team of cyclists from Boutinot, the north west wine distributors, has raised nearly £8,000 for a local cancer charity.
The 11-strong team rode from Champagne to Cairanne in the southern Rhône valley to raise £7,799 for Manchester-based charity cancer charity The Christie.
The cyclists also included customers from Betton Wines (North Yorkshire) and the Cattle Grid (London).
They were supported along the way by Champagne Gremillet, Champagne Lallier, Vallet-Frères (Burgundy) and Cave de Tain (northern Rhône) and were met in Cairanne by the local mayor, villagers and vignerons who cheered the team on to their final destination, the cellars of Boutinot Rhône in Cairanne.
Boutinot's Alec Street said: "At the finish, the sense of achievement and camaraderie was immense. To have raised £7,799 for such a great cause as The Christie is a source of great satisfaction and pride to all of our team and we know it will be put to good use."
