Big hitters lined up for California Summit

Mark Andrew of Roberson Wine and Christian Jacobson of premium steak restaurant, MASH, will lead two masterclasses at the Harpers California Summit on June 4.

Mark Andrew of Roberson Wine and Christian Jacobson of premium steak restaurant, MASH, will lead two masterclasses at the Harpers California Summit on June 4.

Roberson will look at Cutting edge California, focusing on its terroir and diversity whilst head sommelier, Jacobsen will pick out quality value wines for restaurants and bars.

They join a line up of speakers that already includes Paul Schaafsma of Accolade Wines, Bibendum's Andrew Shaw, Tesco buyer, Lucy Clements and brand marketing expert Andrew Marsen.

The off-trade debate will also feature contributions from Robin Copestick, Copestick Murray and Cornerstone (US importer); Eileen Ginger, wine buyer, Whitbread; and Kingsland Wine's wine dirctor, Karen Wilson.

 

The premium on-trade debate will include James Doidge, managing director, Wine Treasury; Philip Amps, Amps Fine Wine; Simon Smith, Solent Cellar; James Hocking, Vineyard Cellars (Vineyard at Stockcross); Vanessa Cinti, head sommelier/buyer, The Cut; Christopher Delalonde, head sommelier, The Boundary; Damian Carrington, Fields, Morris & Verdin; and Neil Bruce, wine list consultant, Studio Alto.
