Bancroft signs Remírez de Ganuza

Bancroft Wines has been appointed the exclusive UK agent for Rioja producer Bodegas Remírez de Ganuza.

Remírez de Ganuza, which was previously represented by Indigo Wine, will launch its new vintages at the London International Wine Fair on the Bancroft Wines stand. Bancroft will sell the wine to the on-trade, independent off-trade and private clients.

"We are very excited to start a new partnership with Bancroft Wines," said owner Fernando Remírez de Ganuza.

Remírez de Ganuza owns 68 hectares of vineyard spread across more than 100 plots in the Rioja Alavesa, where the average vine age is 60 years. The winery separates the grape bunch shoulders from the tips, selecting the shoulders which are richer in colour and tannins, for reserve wines.

agencies. Along with many, I have long been an admirer of Fernando's outstanding wines
and we are excited to have the opportunity to work with such a prestigious Bodega and
reconnect Remírez de Ganuza into the UK market," said Bancroft Wines managing director Neil McAndrew.
