The UK wine trade will get the chance to taste a full range of Canadian wines at a generic tasting to be held in London on May 16.
The UK wine trade will get the chance to taste a full range of Canadian wines at a generic tasting to be held in London on May 16.
The Rediscover Canadian Wine tasting will include wines from Ontario, British Columbia and Nova Scotia and will take place at Canada House on Trafalgar Square.
It will feature all styles of Canadian wine including red, white and sparkling wines, but also offer the chance to discover icewine. The event will see over 20 producers visit London from across Canada.
They have been asked to select their best wines under the following categories: Pinot Noir, Bordeaux blends or varietals, Syrah, Gamay, Chardonnay and Riesling. There will also be an open-pour area of sparkling wines.
The event will also inlcude a sparkling wine sommelier masterclass, which will take place at 10.30am featuring 10 sparkling wines. This will be followed by an agent and importer tasting at 4pm. There will also be an export seminar for wineries between 9am and 10am.
