Brasserie Bar Company has just opened its fourth pub, The British Queen, in Locksbottom, Orpintgon, Kent.
The company, which already operates pubs in Weybridge, Teddington and Old Redding and also owns Brasserie Blanc, plans to roll out a further 20 pubs in the next three years.The Sun Inn in Chobham, Surrey, is he next to open its doors later this year.
The newly refurbished British Queen has a large bar area to the front of the property and a newly built extension at the rear where the 120 cover brasserie is located.
A private garden seats a further 50. The menu, which will change quarterly, offers a combination of French brasserie dishes and traditional British pub food.
The autumn menu includes starters such as Burgundian snails in garlic herb butter and pan-fried lamb sweetbreads and pickled wild mushrooms with roast hazelnuts, while main dishes include the likes of roast Scottish scallops, smoked bacon, autumn vegetables and Meunière sauce.
The wine list features a selection of French varietals, and offers around 22 wines by the glass. There is also a large choice of premium spirits, draught beers and bitters.
