Vinexpo strengthens management team ahead of 2015 Bordeaux show

Vinexpo has strengthened its management team ahead of next year's exhibition in Bordeaux with two new directors joining the team.

The move is the latest in a series of changes that have been introduced by the new Vinexpo chief executive, Guillaume , since he took over from Robert Beynat after the 2013 Vinexpo show.

Mathieu Vanhalst moves from the world of travel retail to take over Vinexpo's sales department. Vanhalst, aged 33,  has spent the last seven years at Tax Free World Association which organises duty free and travel retail exhibitions in Cannes and Singapore.

Richard Guyon has been appointed Vinexpo's new marketing director after a career in the hospitality and tourism sectors most recently with the Relais & Châteaux network. Guyon, aged 35,  is a graduate of Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne and has been taken on for his experience in luxury retailing and customer experience.

He will be particularly responsible for helping Deglise and the new Vinexpo team to put in place more evening and social events around the 2014 Bordeaux conference to bring visitors to closer to the event and allow for more networking opportunities outside the main trading floor. 

The next Vinexpo events takes place in Japan where its Vinexpo Nippon takes place in Tokyo on November 1 and November 2.

The next Vinexpo exhibition in Bordeaux will take place from June 14 to 18, 2015.
