Sign up for SITT - the only trade tastings tailored purely for independent merchants

Published:  25 July, 2018

As the autumn buying window fast approaches Harpers is once again running it’s popular independent merchant-focused Specialist Importers Trade Tastings (SITT) in London and Leeds this September, and we look forward to welcoming all indie buyers at these events.

SITT London – 24 September

(Venue: HAC – 1 minute from Old Street tube)

SITT Leeds – 26 September

(Venue: Aspire – 3 minutes from Leeds main railway station)

Why sign up? As the original and only trade tasting set up solely for buyers from your type of independent-minded and quality-driven businesses, SITT delivers a clearly targeted selection of high calibre importers and their portfolios at one manageable tasting for the selective buyer.

This is a tasting about quality, rather than quantity, offering diversity, new finds, wines that really will add points of difference to your list and a guarantee that there will be no time wasted navigating through a sea of supermarket wines.

Moreover, both the London and Leeds tastings will feature a series of original masterclasses, free to those buyers who attend.

Among the topics and tastings on the London bill are sessions as diverse as ‘Focus on New York Wines’, hosted by leading critic Dr Jamie Goode, and a ‘Hungarian Oak Workshop and Tasting’, fronted by András Kaldy, managing director of Kádár Hungary, comparing the influence of different origin oak on wines.

Part of the beauty of the SITT tastings is their size – these are not large scale tastings, but a manageable size, designed for time pressed buyers that also have busy schedules and businesses to run.

We believe these will be the strongest SITT events yet and the Harpers team very much looks forward to catching up with many of you in London and Leeds this autumn.
