Halewood International is to run its second 'Lamb's Spiced Master of the Blend' competition.
Further investment into its on-trade based bartender education programme will aim to educate a new recruit of bartenders in the art of serving rum and award a new 'Master of the Blend' for 2011.
Its 2010 competition visited 13 cities across the country and was won by Alex Proudfoot from Raoul's Bar in Oxford.
Sue Beck, senior brand manager for Lamb's Spiced Rum, said: "The 2010 Lamb's Spiced Master of the Blend Competition was a huge success which exposed the brand to over 200 bartenders from key style bars across the country and generated a succession of new listings."
"As a result of direct engagement with bartenders we were able to create credible brand advocates which in turn has led to Lamb's Spiced becoming an established and desirable choice of rum for consumers."
