Chucs launches first café and appoints former Jamie Oliver executive chef

Published:  22 May, 2019

Chucs has launched its new café concept, its first foray into casual dining, which will open on 10 June.

It has also appointed Simon Henbery as Executive Chef Director. He joins Chucs following roles at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen London and Barbecoa.

Yesterday it was announced that Jamie Oliver’s 23-strong Jamie’s Italian chain, plus his Barbecoa and Fifteen London restaurants, had gone into administration.

Chucs Café Kensington will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, seven days a week. In the evenings it will offer wines from a “carefully curated” wine list, offering a wide selection by the glass alongside ciccheti or small plates.

It said the cafe will also offer “Chucs on the go” with the large majority of dishes available to take away.
