AB InBev puts Budweiser front and centre for UK rebrand

Published:  25 March, 2019

AB InBev has changed its name to Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I.

The more “recognisable” name will drive brand awareness in the UK, said the group, which also produces Stella Artois, Corona, Beck’s, Bass and Boddingtons.

Budweiser was selected as the brewer’s “most famous global brand”, as well as for its sustainable credentials.

“Through the power and recognition of the Budweiser brand, we want to open ourselves up to working with more partners to achieve our ambitions,” new president of Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, Paula Lindenberg, said.

“We are looking forward to making a big impact in the year ahead, working towards brewing our beers with 100% renewable electricity and accelerating our progress towards 20% of our global products being no or low alcohol.”

Despite being a classic American brand, Budweiser will soon be made with 100% British barley and renewable electricity from UK solar power.

Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I also has a new HQ on Fetter Lane in in London’s Farringdon.

The 25,000 sq ft space includes a rooftop bar serving all the group’s brands, and brings together three previously separate offices and 250 employees under one roof.
