JF Hillebrand denies suspending collections from EU countries

Published:  22 March, 2019

JF Hillebrand has denied that it has suspended collections from EU countries following reports stating such.

“There are no suspensions and our services for EU customers continue uninterrupted,” said the logistics company.

“In the event of a no deal Brexit we have robust contingency plans in place that will minimise the potential for disruption.”

The denial follows reports late yesterday that claimed Hillebrand had stopped collections from EU countries until the government confirms what will happen on 29 March.

It was reported that Hillebrand had, via a customer advisory note, said it would not plan any collections for the next 48 hours or until the government indicated what would happen with Brexit.

The business - the UK’s biggest logistics company, ships wine, spirits and beer to both the on and off-trade in the UK, with bases in Dover, Glasgow, Thurrock and Southampton.
