Tony Conigliaro mixes it up with new spirits brand

Published:  08 August, 2018

Mixology maestro Tony Conigliaro is releasing his first ever spirit brand, bottling the recipes he has used in serves across his bars for over a decade.

The new Woltz’s rose petal flavoured vodka aims to bring a “quintessential taste of England” using popular English ingredients to cocktail lists this summer.

It is the first release in the Woltz’s range and a first for Conigliaro, who has until now created flavoured vodkas for use in his London bars, including 69 Colebrooke Row.

This is the first time these concoctions will be available for consumers to purchase after being distilled, bottled and hand-labelled at the Drink Factory, Conigliaro’s research and development space in East London, of which he is creative director.

Its red and black bottle design was created by co-founder Adrian Fillary and is inspired by iconic cinematic periods.

Each variant released will feature a cocktail recipe by Conigliaro that can be replicated at home.

The vodka is distilled using vacuum stills, using pressure rather than heat to extract the essence of botanicals or ingredients to keep delicate flavours in tact.

Dried pink rose petals are distilled with a neutral grain vodka, to achieve soft floral aromas with a clean dry rose taste and peppery finish.

Other flavours are set to follow in due course.

Woltz’s Rose Petal Vodka is distributed by CASK Liquid Marketing.
