Champagnes and Châteaux adds l’Aventure Winery to portfolio

Published:  10 April, 2018

Champagnes and Châteaux has added Paso Robles agency l’Aventure Winery to its stable.

As part of the deal, Champagnes and Châteaux has listed l’Aventure’s Optimus 2013, Rhône blend Côte à Côte 2013 and the top wine of the Estate, Cuvée Estate 2013.

The listing follows Alain Thienot, the owner of Champagnes and Châteaux, taking over a share in L’Aventure Winery in October 2017.

The partnership was a meeting between two families of wine with the same values, said Stanislas Thiénot.

“It’s a true partnership between two families who share great wine terroirs expression and our vision of the future - our independence of spirit led us to this alliance,” he said.

Stephan Asseo, owner and winemaker of L’Aventure Winery, began to make a name for himself in 1982 in the Burgundy region - he created the Domaine de Courteillac in Bordeaux and bought Château Robin and Fleur Cardinal before he began his "L'Aventure adventure in 1998.

The Asseo and Thienot families had chosen to put the best of their respective expertise to sustain and develop the remarkable work already accomplished, said Thiénot.

Founded in 1989 in London, Champagnes and Châteaux is a wine and spirits supplier to the UK’s premium on-trade channel as well as independent wholesalers and retailers.
