Taylor's releases limited edition 1966 Single Harvest Port

Taylor's Port has announced the release of a 1966 Single Harvest, the third in a series of 50-year-old, limited edition Ports.

The year 1966 was widely regarded as a Port vintage of exceptional quality, and is now recognised as one of the best post-war vintages.

Adrian Bridge, managing director of Taylor's Port, said: "A landmark birthday or anniversary is definitely cause for celebration and what better way to toast half a century than with this incredible Port which has survived the passage of time in perfect condition."

The 1966 Single Harvest Port follows on from the 1965 and 1964 releases.

It will exhibited first at the Mentzendorff portfolio tasting on February 16.

It will start shipping to the UK in March.

Taylor's 1966 Single Harvest will have a retail price of around £150, and will be presented in a classic frosted bottle, itself packaged in an wooden box.

It will be available from a range of fine wine merchants, including Farr Vintners, Fine + Rare, Bordeaux Index, Lay & Wheeler, Albany Vintners and Speciality Drinks.
