Published:  26 October, 2015

Copestick Murray has created four new senior roles as it continues its rapid growth.

The new positions are head of business development, strategy and export; technical and production manager; national account manager for the on-trade and national account manager for the off-trade.

Copestick Murray has already appointed David Percival to the on-trade role. Perceval's previous experience includes spells at Marstons, Carlsberg and Scottish and Newcastle.

Mike Ebdy joins in November as the company's new technical and production manager. Ebdy has been at the Food Standards Agency for the last five years.

James Griffith will take up the off-trade position in December. He comes to Copestick Murray from Treasury Wine Estates.

Karl Von Molendorff will arrive in the new year to assume the business development role. He is currently Tesco's head of international operations for group wine for Europe and Asia.

Copestick Murray will also be opening an office in Dublin as its international operations expand.

Robin Copestick, managing director at Copestick Murray, said: "I am really looking forward to working with Karl, David, James and Mike. All four will offer the company valuable and varied skills and I know that they will compliment our current team.

The company is trading at 50% over last year and we will be looking very soon to add more people to both our sales and marketing teams.

It is a great time to be at Copestick Murray, our customer and supplier base is becoming ever more diverse, we are one of the leading UK suppliers of Prosecco and i heart wines continues to increase sales in the UK and all over the world."

Stuart Bond, formerly the company's off-trade sales director, was recently promoted to become its commercial director.

Copestick Murray increased its turnover by 15% in 2014. It posted sales of £23.6m, driven in large part by growth of its successful 'I Heart' wine and Mionetto brands.
