Taylor's Port renews partnership with flagship Jazz FM show

Published:  23 October, 2015

Taylor's Port has renewed its sponsorship of Jazz FM's Dinner Jazz show for the fourth year running.

Dinner Jazz is the top-rated programme on Jazz FM and airs nightly from 7pm to 9pm.

As part of the six-figure sponsorship, new features will be added to the flagship show.

"Celebrity bottles" will be a light-hearted Saturday night look at the favourite drinks of the famous.

During the week, chefs, restaurateurs, bar tenders and retailers will share their favourite dishes to accompany Taylor's Port as part of the new "Taste of Taylor's" strand.

There will also be a series of 60-second "Talking Taylor's" features, which will cover everything from the production and ageing of Port to food-pairings recommendations.

The content will be specifically created for the show to attract listeners to the new www.jazzfm.com/taylors microsite.

Listeners can currently enter a competition on the site to win a mixed case of Port. The competition closes on November 27.

Adrian Bridge, managing director of Taylor's, said: "We are delighted to renew our successful partnership with Jazz FM for another season.

"The timing of Dinner Jazz fits perfectly with the preparation and enjoyment of the evening meal and the consumption of Port. It offers insights into the making and appreciation of Port as well as light-hearted drinks stories."

Jazz FM's partnership director Claire Stacey added: "To have Taylor's Port back for a fourth year is superb and once again proves that Jazz FM's content partnerships deliver year after year.

"We are proud to have friends like Taylor's Port."

Dinner Jazz is hosted by Helen Mayhew and Sarah Ward. Music featured ranges from iconic tracks by jazz legends such as Miles Davis, John Coltrane and Ella Fitzgerald to more contemporary stars, including Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, and Kurt Elling.

The show also acts as a launch pad for leading young British jazz musicians such as Nikki Iles, Ian Shaw and Stan Sulzmann.
