Newly redesigned Vinexpo 2015 sells out of exhibitor space

Published:  07 April, 2015

The newly redesigned space at Vinexpo has now been fully book and all 2,400 exhibitor stalls have sold.

The show, which takes place every other year in Bordeaux, will be held on 14-18th of June, 2015.

One big change that will benefit both exhibitors and visitors alike is a new tram route, which will now run directly from the exhibition centre to the city centre.

All the stands will be concentrated in Halls 1 and 3, with a new premium stand area adjacent to lake called Les Terrasses.

Hall 2 will be entirely dedicated to talks and tastings. The Vinexpo Academy will host 90 events and tastings during the five days of the show. However, Hall 3 and the conference centre will continue to host a few events as well.

There will also be a change to places to dine as a result of the significant number of meetings many visitors and exhibitors have on-site.

Guillaume Deglise, chief executive officer of Vinexpo said: "This new-look Vinexpo is our response to exhibitor needs. We are revitalising the premium offer with a brand new concept, Les Terrasses - hybrid stands that allow exhibitors both to have a stand in Hall 1 and a lakeside terrace. Hall 2 was no longer suitable for welcoming visitors on the stands, so we have completely rethought the layout to satisfy our exhibitors."

Les Terrasses is replacing the area once known as The Club du Lac. The twelve major companies that will be exhibiting in the new area will also have indoor stalls within the halls as well. The concept has proven popular as the number of companies participating has doubled compared to 2013.

Additionally, Club Vinexpo, an area set up for VIP buyers and importers will be moved lakeside as well.

Expect several other changes as the new chief executive, Deglise, hopes to modernise the exhibtion. This is the first show that Deglise will be overseeing as the new chief executive. Last year Deglise, in speaking about the changes he is rolling out, said: "Vinexpo has a history and now we are writing its future. And this future begins with a series of new initiatives that we will be launching in 2015."
