M Restaurants to celebrate World Malbec Day with mini vineyard in the City of London

Published:  04 March, 2015

M Restaurants, set up by former Gaucho managing director, Martin Williams, at the end of last year, is to celebrate World Malbec Day next month by creating a mini Malbec vineyard outside its venue in the City of London.

The 300 plus seater restaurant opened last November and has quickly become a key destination for City diners looking to either try out its steaks and meat dishes in M-Grill or the fish based M-Raw.

Williams has looked to create an entertainment venue rather than just a simple City restaurant with live music, DJs, private dining rooms, a wine tasting area and wines by the glass Enomatic machines.

In keeping with the entertainment theme M is to transform the terrace outside the venue on Threadneedle Walk with a specially created Malbec vineyard. Guests will even be able to join in and crush grapes barefoot.

For the week beginning April 13 M will also offer a a special Argentine menu and selected wines in its Enomatic machines. It will also screen Argentine movies created by some of the country's top filmmakers.

Malbec World Day takes place on April 17.
