L'Enclume is number one is Waitrose Good Food Guide 2015
The Waitrose Good Food Guide has released its list of the Top 50 outlets in the UK which sees Simon Rogan's L'Enclume in the Lake District pip Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck to the top spot.
The Waitrose Good Food Guide has released its list of the Top 50 outlets in the UK which sees Simon Rogan's L'Enclume in the Lake District pip Heston Blumenthal's The Fat Duck to the top spot.
Not only did Rogan and his team come out number one for the second year running, in what is the 64th year of the guide, L'Enclume also scored a perfect 10 out of 10.
A feat matched by Blumentham's Fat Duck and also Restaurant Gordon Ramsay - the first time that three restaurants have scored a perfect 10 for their performance and the first time in 10 years that Restaurant Gordon Ramsay has achieved a 10 score.
Rogan said of its achievement: "The full 10 rating really is a reflection of all the continued focus and improvements we have been undertaking at L'Enclume every single month."
