Major global speakers lined up for Wine Vision 2014

An international line up of major global wine players is being built up for the second Wine Vision event, being run in association with Harpers, in London between November 17 and 19.

An international line up of major global wine players is being built up for the second Wine Vision event, being run in association with Harpers, in London between November 17 and 19.

Following last year's inaugural event the global wine conference returns to London at a new venue, the Hurlingham Club.

It will once again be an opportunity for the world's leading wine players to come together to share ideas, network and address the key issues facing the sector.

The event is specifically targeted at board and executive levels of the wine industry and as well as tackle the major global wine issues, it will also bring in expertise from key industries outside of wine.

Key names already lined up to speak include:

  • Jean-Guillaume Prats, LVMH's president and chief executive estates and wines
  • Dan Jago, UK and group wine director, Tesco
  • Mike Ratcliffe, managing director, Warwick Wine Estate
  • Kevin Shaw, founder and chief executive, Stranger & Stranger
  • Tyler Balliet, president and founder, The Second Glass and Wine Riot
  • Mike Veseth, The Wine Economist
  • Mike Paul, UK wine consultant
  • Professor  Charles Spence, head of Crossmodal Lab, Oxford University             
  • Professor Barry Smith, director, Institute of Philosophy, University of London's School of Advanced Study       
  • Dominique Persoone, founder, The 'Shock-o-latier'
  • David Schuemann, owner and creative director, CF Napa Brand Design                 
  • Robin Copestick, managing director, I heart wine - Copestick Murray                     
  • Jonny  Forsyth, global drinks analyst, Mintel

  • Mike Greene, founder of Him!, business mentor and author of 'Into the Eye of the Storm'

The event will include an opening reception at London's The Shard on the evening of November 17.

It is being run in association with Harpers.
