McGuigan Wines invests in customer promotion to drive brand visibility

Published:  20 January, 2014

McGuigan Wines is offering its customers the chance to wine a trip to Sydney and the Hunter Valley, as well as lunch with chef John Torode and Neil McGuigan.

Between January 27 and April 27, consumers can wine five pairs of return flights Down Under. The week-long trip sends the wine lovers to Sydney and the Hunter Valley region, and ends with a lunch hosted by John Torode and leading Australian winemaker, Neil McGuigan.

Customers must buy a bottle of McGuigan wine and visit a microsite via either through a QR code listed on the bottle or by visiting www.mcguiganwinescompetition.com or through the McGuigan site.

The company is also offering once six-bottle mixed case of McGuigan wines every day for the three month promotional period.

The promotion will be on offer in Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury's stores as well as independents throughout the UK mainland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. It will be using social media to drive awareness.

Julian Dyer, general manager for the UK & Ireland for Australian Vintage, said: "We are investing heavily in this year's promotion to ensure good visibility for the brand throughout the period of the promotion and we hope that consumers will be excited by the great prize that is on offer."
