Cost of Riedel Crystal in the UK to drop 20% with new distribution agreement

Published:  05 December, 2013

Riedel Crystal announced it will be bringing its UK distribution in-house instead of going through supplier Churchill China, which could result in an average price reduction of around 20% for customers from February 1, 2014.

Riedel decided after five years with Churchill it was time to work direct with distributors, and its customers across the premium on-trade. By going direct, Riedel UK will also be able to offer fast-track delivery allowing orders to be shipped within 24 hours of ordering and staring prices will drop, with the Riedel Restaurant range priced to start at £2.49 per glass.

Stephen McGraw, managing director of Riedel UK, said: "This is a very exciting opportunity and will allow us to engage more pro-actively with the hospitality sector."

Riedel has been a family owned company for more than 250 years and was established in what was then Boehmia, which part of today's present day Austria in 1756.
